This is the third in the series covering topics drawn from the books, The Corporation of the Future and Corporate Universities. Based on selected content from each book, the conversation for our next event is based on the observation that: Corporate learning ecosystems will play a crucial role in the future corporation.

These systems will arise as organisations recognise the importance of continuous learning and the upskilling of employees, if they are to guarantee their renewal and ongoing competitiveness. As demonstrated in Corporate Universities, it is expected that a shift in emphasis will occur, from a school to a college or academy.

In the future, it is expected, schools will continue to provide ‘training as usual’ to individuals, while a college will focus on organisational change (transformation) and strategy implementation. At a higher level still, an academy will incorporate all the forgoing topics as well as strategy formulation (regeneration) – mostly in the context of organisational learning. All forms of learning will be personalised and tailored to individual and/or team needs and preferences. Knowledge based intelligence will be fostered through the nurturing of deep, critical thinking and ready access to data analytics, artificial intelligence and open access. As the key benefit, future corporation’s investment in learning will allow them transform and renew while also enabling their employees to adopt lifelong learning objectives. This in turn will allow them both to adapt, invent, grow, and thrive.

Agenda: The agenda is designed to lay the foundation for discussion and then extend that understanding to explore what is next for an embedded organisational learning capability - and what will be required to either maintain, or establish one. Details of the agenda follow:
